CHILI CHEESE ROLLS

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (4 oz) or more Ortega ® Diced Green Chilies
  • 3 green onions, diced
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 can (2.25 oz) chopped ripe olives, drained
  • 4 (8-inch) flour tortillas
  • 1 cup Ortega ® Salsa, variety of choice or salsa of choice

DIRECTIONS:  Combine  cheeses, cheddar cheese, chilies, onion, bell

 pepper & olives in a medium bowl.  Spread 1/2 cup cheese mixture over

 each tortilla, roll up.  Wrap each roll in plastic wrap & refrigerate for 1

 hour.  Remove & slice rolls into 3/4-inch pieces.  Serve with salsa for

 dipping.

SERVING TIPS:  This recipe from Ortega® can be modified very easily;

 for a hot or spicy touch add some finely chopped jalapeno peppers, or try

 adding some shredded carrots; just play with it & have fun.  More recipes

 rolls upright.  If necessary you can hold them together with a toothpick,

 which is nice for serving.
