A big part of learning to cook & to actually cook is to buy the ingredients. One of the tricks we try is to take advantage of is a sale on ground beef. When it is on sale we purchase a large quantity and use this recipe is to prepare for different meals, then freeze the packages for use at a later date. Save money...eat good! TOOLS YOU WILL NEED: Large bowl or pot, kitchen knife, cutting board, measuring cup & spoons, wooden spoon to mix & proper freezer wrap INGREDIENTS:
DIRECTIONS: For meat loaf & burgers: Mix all ingredients well then shape into either meat loaf or burger portions, wrap with freezer paper, mark with ingredient & date, freeze until ready to use. For stews & other meals calling for cooked ground beef: Combine all ingredients mixing well & cook in a large skillet until meat is brown and onions are limp, about 20 minutes. Drain & cool. Separate into desired package sizes wrap & freeze. SERVING TIPS: Meat mixture need not be cooked before freezing. See your refrigerator/freezer instructions on how long meat can be kept in the freezer & what is recommended to use when wrapping meat.
